Delirium MT

Delirium is a 5-piece heavy metal band which debuted in April 2022 after having formed in 2019, initially by drummer Karen Micallef and pianist Maria Borg. They were later joined by bassist Aidan Falzon, then by guitarist Noel Zarb and eventually also vocalist Cezar Adrian Pinzaru.

The band has performed on several occasions since their launch, they debuted their first album in September 2022, and also released two music videos in 2022, “Medusa” and “War is Blood”. The band is made up of vocals, guitar, bass, keys and drums. Delirium offers a unique sound since it tries to blend the guitar and piano together, using piano both as rhythm and lead at times, interchangeably with the guitar. This creates a gothic feel and unusual style. The members are currently all musicians with ages ranging from 20-25 years old.

Delirium’s first album, “State of Delirium” focuses on mental illness and mental health issues in a society which deems many illnesses and issues untreatable or ‘an exaggeration’ of an issue. It takes the perspective of people with mental health problems and shows their side of the story. It also refers to the mental health issues caused by the pandemic of COVID-19
