'About You' carries a personal meaning for Kayati as The song "About You" is dedicated to the most important person in your life who you consider to be like family. It expresses how you both share a lot of laughs, have occasional arguments, and sometimes shed tears. Despite everything, you both forgive each other quickly and continue to love each other Kayati is a sister singer-songwriter duo with a Maltese/Arabic background who have been making music together since a very young age. Over the years, they have explored different genres in their song-writing journey and have developed a passion for both Indie and Pop. Their music is mostly inspired by their personal experiences in life, which others can easily relate to and resonate with. Their songs can take you to different moments in life and evoke a range of emotions.
'About You' was written by Kayati and recorded and produced at The Insynk Collective.
Kayati explain:
'About you' was written unexpectedly and, funnily enough, inspired by an argument we had literally minutes before. At the time, one of us was learning how to play the ukulele and randomly created a sweet sound, which inspired us to write 'About You'. The playful sound brought out the lyrics based on us as sisters and how we drive each other crazy at times but wouldn't want to change a single thing about one another. ‘About you ‘is our way of saying to each other that no matter what, we will always have each other's back and as our mum always says, "There's nothing better than your family."
The single is scheduled for release today May 23rd and will be available on major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Instagram Music, TikTok, Amazon Music, Pandora, Deezer, and more.
