Manatapu Electrifies Farson’s Beer Festival with Powerful Protest Performance

At the massive Farson’s Beer Festival last Saturday, local favourites Manatapu delivered an unforgettable performance, culminating in a stirring acoustic rendition of their song "Fini Tal-Progress." This track confronts the urgent issues of rampant over-development in Malta, exposing a tangled web of corruption, greedy developers, and irresponsible decisions that threaten the nation's quality of life.

In a dramatic twist, the rest of Manatapu's members returned to the stage during the song, holding placards and a prominent banner emblazoned with "Tizfnu ghad-daqqa tal-izviluppaturi" (You dance to the beat of the developers). This powerful slogan has been a rallying cry for Moviment Graffiti, a group fiercely advocating against the same injustices.

“This song was penned a few years ago, but six years later, the problems persist and have only worsened,” shared Dario, the band’s frontman. “We knew it was the perfect time to perform and release it, hoping to ignite action and awareness.”

Adding to the impact, Manatapu released a live video of the song, which can be viewed here:https://youtu.be/AwtQdRBlxqQ. The band extends heartfelt thanks to Moviment Graffiti for their relentless fight and urges all their fans to join this critical cause.

Don’t miss out on this electrifying performance that’s more than music—it’s a call to action. Join Manatapu and Moviment Graffiti in the fight for Malta’s future.
