Reeferfest 2024: A Heavy Hitter Lineup Featuring 3 International Bands!
Reeferfest, the island's ultimate stoner and doom music festival, is back with a bang! Following the success of last year's edition, which featured an unforgettable performance by Slovenia's Omega Sun, Reeferfest 2024 is ready to crank things up a notch. This year, the festival will showcase four incredible bands, including three international acts, promising a night of hard-hitting riffs, thundering drums, and hypnotic grooves.
Taking place at The Garage in Ħaż Żebbuġ, Malta, Reeferfest 2024 will be held on Saturday 24th August. Doors will open at 19:30, and tickets are priced at just €20. This year’s edition is set to be even bigger and better, so don’t miss out!
This Year's Lineup:
· Hemplifier (MLT) – Malta’s very own stoner metal powerhouse formed in Santa Venera in 2021. Hemplifier released their debut album, The Stoner Side of the Doom, in 2023 on Electric Valley Records. Prepare for a set filled with heavy, doom-laden riffs that will shake the very foundation of The Garage!
· Witch Piss (BE) – Emerging from Mechelen, Antwerp, Belgium, this band formed in 2022 and released their debut self-titled album on April 7th, 2023, via Saturni Records. Witch Piss brings a unique blend of raw energy and dark, sludgy metal that is sure to captivate the audience.
· Ditch (NL) – This stoner rock-infused bulldozer hails from the Netherlands, featuring Douwe de Wilde, Eric Hazebroek, and Alexander de Goede. Originally starting as a casual jam session, Ditch has evolved into a full-fledged stoner metal trio. With releases such as Boca do Inferno (2013) and Coldfoot, Alaska (2021), they promise a no-nonsense, groove-heavy set.
· Belzebong (PO) – Formed in 2008, Poland’s Belzebong is a band that needs no introduction in the stoner metal scene. Their discography includes acclaimed releases such as Sonic Scapes & Weedy Grooves (2011), Dungeon Vultures (2013), and Light the Dankness (2018). Known for their dark, slow, and atmospheric sound, Belzebong will take you on a mystical journey.
